About Me
Hi, I'm Jenna. Welcome to my little corner of the internets. I started this blog as a way to chronicle my sewing journey, and to contribute to the online sewing community that has helped me so much along the way.
I'm new at sewing. I started when I was pregnant with my 2nd. After we found out she was a she, I just knew I was going to need ruffles. Lots & lots of ruffles. Well. I soon discovered that ruffles, well, they aren't cheap. I stumbled upon this tutorial, and set out to learn how to sew. Those first few projects are a whirlwind of frustration, confusion & finally, sweet victory.
It was through sewing that I discovered a new side of myself. I began to realize, and in more aspects than just sewing, that I can do. My father-in-law has a theory (well, many theories, but let's stay on subject here,) there are 2 types of people in the world. Buyers and Doers. Before I got married, I was a full fledged buyer. I knew it & I liked it. And there's nothing wrong with that. But as time went on, I saw more & more reasons to do. Sewing only perpetuated that. Instead of wondering 'Where did she buy that skirt?!' I find myself asking, 'Could I make that?' And more and more often, I'm finding the answer is yes.
